[Tools] Missinglettr Review: Auto-Pilot Social Media Promotion for Articles7 min read

Sharing your articles on social media. The process. Copy-paste links, add images, write captions…

This is the kind of process that:

  1. Takes an awful lot of time
  2. Can become rather boring

But… what if I were to tell you that it’s not enough to just share your article once on each social media platform you have a presence on?

Yeah…

You need to promote your content across multiple days/weeks, in different ways, tweaking the call to action, the captions, the images you use…

Then it often feels like an impossible task.

At least, that’s how I feel…

Or you could use a tool that lets you automate all that, while you focus on more important tasks.

This is what Missinglettr is all about. An auto-pilot for your social media promotion efforts.

What does Missinglettr do exactly?

Missinglettr is a platform that allows you to create drip sharing campaigns across three social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

The campaigns can stretch for as long as an entire year, promoting your articles in different ways, sharing images and graphics from each post and/or relevant quotes.

Even more impressive, Missinglettr uses some advanced technology to go through your articles and detect media and quotes it can use in these campaigns.

Missinglettr: Getting Started

The entire process of setting up a campaign is pretty straightforward, especially since there’s an entire workflow once you setup an account that lets you add the first article you want to promote and the social media platforms on which you want to share your content.

You then select your timezone and the hours you want your content to be shared, and you can select different hours for each social media platform, so there’s no overlap at all, which is smart considering there are users who follow you across more than one platform, and you might miss them altogether if they’re not online when you share your links.

There are three types of campaigns you can run, and the only difference lies in the frequency and duration of the campaign itself.

You then add a few details about your blog, such as name, logo, and the primary color, and then select a layout that most suits your style.

Now comes the fun part. Your campaign is generated automatically based on the link you just added.

You can now select the hashtags, mentions (if you want to mention a different account), images, and quotes you want to you.

The platform is smart enough to suggest most of what you need to build a campaign, and you can always add your own media, hashtags, or customize the images it pulls from your article.

And that’s it… your campaign is ready to go live.

You can further customize your campaign by choosing different start/stop dates or by choosing to automatically republish your content on Medium as well.

And that’s it. Your campaign is live.

Posts will go live according to the schedule you have selected, on all platforms, sharing different calls to action, media, and quotes.

You can then add new articles to promote, and the system will also automatically detect new articles as you publish them on your blog and suggest campaigns for them.

Missinglettr: Curate

Curate is an add-on that allows you to promote your content across Missinglettr’s platform, getting it shared by other users.

The process is just as simple and straightforward as creating a campaign.

You select the article you want to promote and… click promote.

You can promote 10 articles each month, but if you also share other people’s content as well, you can earn more points you can then use to promote more articles on the network.

Key Features:

  • Intuitive interface
  • Easy to use
  • Useful statistics (it shows you the number of links)
  • The automatic suggestions are (mostly) useful
  • Adding campaigns is effortless
  • Curate is an interesting add-on that gets you more social shares for your articles

How much does it cost?

Okay, let’s talk about pricing now.

First of all, Missinglettr has a free plan, which allows you to schedule a total number of 50 posts on just one social media account. Fairly limited, especially if you plan to share and promote a number of articles across multiple social media platforms, which is exactly this platform’s main selling point.

Paid plans start at $9/month for 3 social media accounts and 500 scheduled posts, and the Curate add-on is $49/month.

But… if you click on this link here you only pay half for the first three months, which means you pay only $4.50 per month for the Solo plan.
