[Blogging Mindset] Write Until Your Hands Hurt. And Then Write Some More.

“The most important thing about art is to work. Nothing else matters except sitting down every day and trying.”

Steven Pressfield

When you’re just starting out, you probably aren’t going to be that good. Okay, let’s face it: you’re going to suck. Big time.

I’m not telling you this to put you down in any way. But you’ve got to be aware of the fact that when you’re a beginner blogger, you are going to publish a lot of lackluster content.

It’s just the truth of the matter.

But how do you get better at blogging?

You’ve to to write until your hands hurt. And then write some more. You’ve got to write your first draft, and then rewrite. You let it sit for a bit, while you work on some other article, and then rewrite it again. You hit that publish button, and you get to writing something new.

The only way to get better is to produce a huge volume of work.

I’m not telling you to publish all of that, but to create it. To work on it. To write and re-write and re-rewrite.

To punch the damn keys as often as you can.

You also have to be aware that some of your content will suck, no matter what you do. It’s okay. It is how it is.

But this does not have to stop you from trying, over and over again.

The most important part about blogging and is that you sit down at the best and punch those damn keys.
