Who/What Inspires You to Write?

Another simple question… What gets you to the keyboard?

Is there someone who you look up to or model?

Perhaps someone you know personally motivates you to get up and write, or maybe it’s a well-known writer.

Let’s hear from you.

  1. Morning Cristian – for me l just love to write – and that’s it. I don’t have any aspirations to be like another, l am content with just being me.

I have a lot to say, whether people wish to read it or not is down to the readers themselves, that doesn’t stop me from writing and if anything – the only person l am trying to impress upon, is actually myself. If other bloggers like and comment, it’s always a bonus.

It’s not that l don’t specifically write for an audience, but l write as a way of emptying out my brain. A few years back between the years of 2010 – 2012 l wrote nearly 2000 rhymes – l had to do it, l had to empty my brain, so l could absorb more words. A lot of that poetry that l display today is from that period. I have started writing rhyme again, but l have to be in the right place to do it, and currently l am simply walking down memory lane with long story and tale, so there is still plenty of time for rhyme 🙂

Going to reblog the question 🙂

Rory – ps – how is your Truly Inspired coming along?

  2. For me I was tasked by my Dominant to start my blog. I have always had a lot of words to say and he had a plan for me. He asked me to tell the story of how I became the woman I am today. I’m still playing catch up, but I’m loving the reflection.

Blogging has helped me feel emotionally connected to him while we have been apart physically, but it has also been a healing process for myself.

I have found the blogging community to be an inspiration to continue with my story as well as knowing that I am yet to get up to date with my life as it is today.

  3. Heyo.
I feel like, what motivates me to write is what happens in my life. I don’t want to call it a diary at all, but more like a story telling ‘book’, although I write it online.
Blogging has helped me express my feelings in my own way and also improve my English, which is my second language.
I don’t look up to anyone in particular and all of my writing comes from the English that I learned in school and online.
    Cute post btw xx

  4. I am not inspired to write by anyone. I write to empty my brain mostly. Also, because I have yet to find a site that I can fully relate to. And I have always believed in writing the book you want to read. So I write hoping to reach those like myself that struggle to find a voice like their own on the internet.

  5. Maybe I was inspired through watching movie, reading or just observing the crowd. And besides, I love to write since I was still a kid. Maybe that’s why until now I have a diary. One thing is, I love to write because I want to inspire people

  6. I have to admit it’s just an itch. Since I can remember, I’ve had this itch to pick up a pencil and notebook and create a story, write a journal entry, a list, or basically whatever as long as I could write.

Now that I’m older, I’ve simply started scratching the itch in a different way.

  7. I write for me, I know myself, and I don’t like I. LOL. Thanks for the presentation. It so much reminds me of myself. I was far from writing and the English way, that I need this to try and get smarter. It seems to be working. Thanks again.

  8. I write because it’s the only way I can get all the ideas & sometimes feelings out of my mind. Ever since I was little, I made up stories. When I started reading new world opened up to me. It made me want to create my own world’s and share them. Writing is also something I’ve always loved to do!

  9. I work in a supermarket and a library, and the people shopping and borrowing books often inspire me to write. I don’t write about them, of course, but I create characters based on maybe something they said or something they were wearing or anything like that. People watching is great for this too! Sitting on a bench in the middle of a bustling city centre and just looking at people, writing stories in your head about them. This is one of my favourite things to do!
I also get a lot of inspiration from music.
So nice to read where other people are picking up inspiration from! 🙂
